Become a Champion Organisaton

Lead the charge in your local community and support a new generation of STEM innovators

Build more than robots in your region

Our Champion Organisations are schools, colleges, universities and youth organisations acting as beacons of robotics education and ambassadors for FIRST Tech Challenge UK.

They form the cornerstone of our national hub network by:

  • Fostering community – hosting meet-ups and collaboration
  • Raising awareness with schools, parents and local businesses
  • Hosting events – including practices and a qualifying tournament
  • Supporting training – for teachers and mentors
  • Sharing knowledge – buddying with local teams

“Being a Champion Org for FIRST Tech Challenge UK helps us show our wider community that we’re more than just about exams, and in our own context we’re getting much higher engagement of girls picking tech and computing beyond Key Stage 3.”

Toby Osborne, Assistant Headteacher and Curriculum Lead, Bournemouth School for Girls

“If you are thinking about becoming a Champion Organisation, or even setting up your very own FIRST Tech Challenge club, I would highly recommend it! I chose FIRST Tech Challenge ten years ago and have loved every moment of it.”
