W5 is an interactive science discovery centre based in Belfast with a strong focus on promoting STEM engagement in schools. With four seasons under their belt, they act as a host for regional heats and seek appropriate mentors to support schools in the FTC journey. They’re especially excited to introduce new teachers to the wonders of mini-bots.
W5 has set a clear goal: to have at least 16 teams this year and to increase that number in the years to come. They’re particularly excited to introduce new teachers to the world of FTC
The bedrock of FIRST Tech Challenge. These experienced schools act as outreach partners, provide support to teams, serve as training and event venues – helping us maximise our impact regionally.
We build More Than Robots
We use robots, role models and competitions to make STEM more approachable and inclusive, empowering young people to make informed choices about their future.
