More than volunteering

Donate your time at our robotics tournaments to inspire a generation of makers.

Where technology meets sport

FIRST Tech Challenge UK events are fuelled by a squad of passionate Game Changers donating their time to mentor teams and deliver epic experiences.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a total noob, we need your help to create events that transform lives. With loads of regional tournaments and a national champs, there are plenty of opportunities to flex your volunteering muscles.

“The most rewarding moment is seeing my senior staff – twenty, thirty years experience – interacting with young students, giving them the benefit of their experience and inspiring them to become engineers of the future.”

Tim, Senior Director of Engineering, Qualcomm

Roles to match your skills

You don’t have to be a rocket scientist, although kudos if you are. You just need oodles of energy, a sense of purpose and desire to pay it forward.

The techies

You love gadgets, work in tech or simply like robots. You’ll troubleshoot and provide technical support, so teams and their bots are game ready.

The gamers

You like to be at the heart of the action! On the game field or running matches like clockwork, you’ll keep scores in check and call out foul play.

The organisers

You have an unhealthy appreciation for spreadsheets and to-do lists. Flex your project management muscles and keep the show going.

We’ve got you covered

Not sure you’re cut out for the job? Join one of our volunteering webinars to find out more. Train for most roles online in an hour and lean on our experienced A-Team leaders to learn the ropes. Plus good grub, travel and a More Than Robots t-shirt! That’s you sorted.
